Bangkok Halal Tour! - Koh Kret and more.

Updated: Jul 8, 2020

I recently got a chance to join on a day trip with a local tour company based in Bangkok. It's organised by a muslim owner. In this tour, we went to the middle of Chao Phraya River, in a man made island called "Koh Kret". My most favorite part from Koh Kret was "Pa Tum Earthenware Factory" where they have a huge collection of pottery and they also teach how to make a pot for yourself as well. Watch the video to find out more.

For the second location, we went to "Date Palm - Preecha Garden" and after that we went to a nature inspired cafe by a little lotus pond. Watch the video for more.

Here are all the locations I visited in this vlog:

Location 1: Koh Kret

How to get there: There are many ways to get to Koh Kret. The most convenient is driving or taking a taxi. However, if you want to enjoy the nice breeze of Chao Phraya River you can take the river boat service.

Boat – From Spahan Taksin (near BTS Saphan Taksin) central pier in Bangkok, take the Chao Phraya express boat all the way to the furthest north station at Nonthaburi (13 THB). From Nonthaburi, buy tickets on the longtail boat to Koh Kret Island (100 THB), or you can hire your own personal boat it you like.

Bus – Take bus #166 or #104 (7 – 20 THB) to Koh Kret and get off at Wat Sanam Neua Temple, and then just take a ferry across the river (2 THB) to Koh Kret island.

This is an earthenware factory located in Koh Kret near OTOP Market. I highly recommend visiting this place if you want to learn yourself how to create one of these pots. They can teach you their way of creating pot in traditional style with only 50 baht per person (prices might be different depending on each factories).

Location 4: Preecha Garden

If you enjoy this blog, don't forget to share it with your friends and family. Thank you and have a great trip!
