Updated: May 4, 2021

In the world of cinematography, food videography is a whole universe in itself. There is so much creativity, storytelling, camera and lighting techniques that go into a successful food video.

With Radiate Studios' long-term experienced working with brands on creating high-end commercial and social media content, our team has put together an amazing video from our recent project with Baba Iki, Sri Panwa.

Planning and execution:

We prepared a shotlist that included different kinds of shots we wanted, to portray the Omakase experience. Long shots with the drone and the gimbal to show the location (interior and exterior of the restaurant), medium shots to show each activity/movement, and close up shots to show the texture of the food and the more intimate part of the experience.

Once we got the food shots, we moved to the interview part. We prepared a set of questions to ask our chef about "Omakase".

Equipment used on this project:

  1. Main Camera: Lumix S1H,

  2. B-Camera: Sony a6600,

  3. Lens: Lumix S 24-105 f/4 (Macro), Canon EF 50 f/1.8,

  4. Gimbal: DJI RS2 Pro + RavenEye Transmission System,
